I'm never going to upload anything remotely un-terrifying to deviantArt anymore, am I.
Yeah, so, um, this is Aida! She's an honestly sweet and kind girl who wants nothing more than to help her friends in any way she can, all while ignoring her own problems in the meantime. Such as, "I'm a magical girl who is also kind of a Lovecraftian Horror" problems.
This was actually done for an idea that somebody had called Mahou Shoujo Monster Magica! It seemed like a cool idea, and I doodled up Aida's design within a day or so and finally illustrated the final result, as seen here. She has a butterfly motif, as parts of her now warped body manifest as "wings".
But don't get her wrong, all she wants is for you to be happy, despite what she is.
I really should stop designing tragic and terrifying characters, this is turning into a huge problem. >>
